1979 (April) - Scifleet family purchases Kedron & Windsor dealerships. Sci-Fleet Toyota is born.
1981 Kitchener Road site is purchased where Service, Parts and Pre-Delivery departments are now based, this facility also houses Sci-Fleet’s entire vehicle storage.
1990 (May) First Lexus franchise, Lexus of Kedron opens its doors above existing Toyota dealership at Kedron.
1991 Sci-Fleet Hino is born & Sci-Fleet Toyota wins its first Toyota President’s Award.
1992 (March) Sci-Fleet purchases Indooroopilly property where the Lexus of Brisbane flagship dealership will later be based. Sci-Fleet Toyota wins second consecutive Toyota President’s Awards.
1993 (August) Mackay Toyota is acquired.
1994 Sci-Fleet wins third Toyota President’s Award.
1995 Sci-Fleet purchases the property on the corner of Gympie & Kitchener to house its growing used car department. Sci-Fleet Toyota’s main Kedron dealership (now the new car dealership) is renovated and air conditioned for the first time.
1996 (June) Lexus of Southport opens its door for the first time.
1998 Sci-Fleet Toyota wins its fourth Toyota President’s Award.
1999 (April) Lexus of Brisbane opens. Sci-Fleet Toyota becomes Australia’s largest selling Toyota dealer.
2000 (July) Sci-Fleet acquires the existing Leo Muller Toyota business & facility at Albion and Sci-Fleet Toyota Albion opens its doors for the first time.
2001 Sci-Fleet Toyota wins its fifth Toyota President’s Award and its first Toyota Northern Region Metropolitan Dealer of the Year Award.
2002 Sci-Fleet Toyota closes Windsor dealership making the Kedron site the only Toyota dealership on Gympie Road. Sci-Fleet wins its sixth Toyota President’s Award and its second Toyota Northern Region Metropolitan Dealer of the Year Award. (December) Sci-Fleet is awarded the Daihatsu franchise, which makes it the first and only dealer to have all four TMC brands under the one umbrella.
2003 (August) The Taringa site & existing facilities is purchased in preparation for Sci-Fleet's next Toyota dealership. (September) Sci-Fleet's Head Office on Kitchener Road re-opens after having been demolished and rebuilt. Sci-Fleet Toyota wins its seventh Toyota President’s Award and third Toyota Northern Region Metropolitan Dealer of the Year Award.
2004 (September) A second Hino dealership is opened in Coopers Plains to offer improved facilities and service to truck clients. (December) Fourth Lexus dealership opens its doors in Fortitude Valley allowing Lexus to compete right on the doorstep of other luxury marques. Sci-Fleet Toyota wins its eight President’s Award and fourth Toyota Northern Region Metropolitan Dealer of the Year Award. Sci-Fleet Toyota is now recognised as the fifteenth largest selling Toyota dealer in the world.
2005 (September) Sci-Fleet wins an equal opportunity for women award in the category of “outstanding results in the advance of women”. (October) Pre-delivery was relocated to a leased site at Zillmere in order to trial a combined PD centre. Toyota sites will no longer do their own PD work. (November) Lexus of Kedron sells its last Lexus and vacates its premises above the Toyota showroom in Kedron. The Lexus of Kedron service department remains on Kitchener Road to meet the servicing needs of local Lexus customers. Brisbane Airport valet service is also run from the Lexus of Kedron servicing site because of its proximity to the airport.
2006 (April) Sci-Fleet Toyota opens its doors at Taringa allowing Sci-Fleet to service the Western suburbs. Sci-Fleet Toyota wins it ninth Toyota President’s Award.
2007 (May) Sci-Fleet purchases a site at Brendale to house its future PD department and vehicle storage area as it has outgrown its current 26,000sq/m pre-delivery area. Sci-Fleet Toyota wins its tenth Toyota President’s Award and fifth Toyota Northern Region Metropolitan Dealer of the Year Award.
2008 Sci-Fleet Toyota Kedron New Cars is renovated to ensure that the facilities being provided to the customer are in line with customer expectations. (June) Sci-Fleet set the all-time national Toyota new vehicle sales record of 1262 vehicles (this record is still unbeaten to this day).
2009 Sci-Fleet Toyota wins it eleventh Toyota President’s Award and sixth Toyota Northern Region Metropolitan Dealer of the Year Award.
2010 (February) Lexus Brisbane Fortitude Valley is relocated from Wickham Street to Ann Street. Sci-Fleet Toyota wins seventh Toyota Northern Region Metropolitan Dealer of the Year Award. (November) Lexus of Maroochydore is built. Pre-Delivery moves into purpose built PD centre at Brendale.
2011 Sci-Fleet Toyota wins eighth Toyota Northern Region Metropolitan Dealer of the Year Award. Sci-Fleet Hino wins Metropolitan Dealer of the Year Award.
2012 Sci-Fleet Toyota wins ninth Toyota Northern Region Metropolitan Dealer of the Year Award. Sci-Fleet Hino Nerang opens its doors and (December) Lexus of Southport is renovated. Sci-Fleet Hino wins Metropolitan Dealer of the Year Award.
2013 Sci-Fleet Toyota wins it twelfth Toyota President’s Award and tenth Toyota Northern Region Metropolitan Dealer of the Year Award.
2014 The group acquires MACS engineering in Mackay. Sci-Fleet Toyota wins it thirteenth Toyota President’s Award. (November) Lexus of Springwood is built.
2015 Sci-Fleet Toyota wins it fourteenth Toyota President’s Award. Sydney City Toyota & Lexus is acquired.
2016 City Toyota in Perth is acquired.
2017 Sci-Fleet Toyota wins it fifteenth Toyota President’s Award and eleventh Toyota Northern Region Metropolitan Dealer of the Year Award. Sci-Fleet acquires Mt Gravatt Mazda and moves the parts department from Kitchener Road, Kedron to Eagle Farm. Sci-Fleet Hino Eagle Farm opens its door for the first time.
2018 Sci-Fleet Toyota Taringa used cars department relocates to a larger site at Indooroopilly. Sci-Fleet Toyota wins it sixteenth Toyota President’s Award.
2019 (November) The group acquires Key Motors (Mazda & Subaru) in Townsville. Sci-Fleet Toyota wins it seventeenth Toyota President’s Award.
2020 (January) Sci-Fleet swaps Albion site with AP Eagers for Torque Toyota at Strathpine. Sci-Fleet Toyota Kedron New Cars is renovated to ensure that the facilities being provided to the customer are in line with guest expectations.
2020 (December) Rockdale Mazda in Sydney is acquired.
2021 (September) Sci-Fleet Motors is inducted into the 2020 Family Business Australia Hall of Fame.
2022 (October) Northpoint Group in Adelaide is acquired.
